Adventure

An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered.
Gilbert K. Chesterton

I’m going to go ahead and guess that after reading the above quote you’re going to feel good for roughly 3-5 minutes.

That probably gives me enough to time to throw something at you.

I want you stop seeing yourself as unlucky.

And start seeing yourself as a hero in the right place at the right time.

When all is turning to chaos try to keep your calm.

Rightly consider an inconvenience.

Have an adventure.

Life is all about living. You can choose to be a miserable sod. Or... you can choose to have an adventure. If you’re going to be low every time something bad happens, if you’re going to wrongly consider every adventure that comes your way...you are going to have one hell of a miserable life and lose your fights pretty quick.

Find your reasons to smile and hold on to the things that make you go “Oooo”. Reconsider your inconveniences...and you’ll find yourself a lot more smiles.

Thank you Chesterton.

I like Kung Fu

I don't know if you've heard but there's a countdown going on between Jackie chan fans and Kung Fu'ers towards Jackie Chans next film THE KARATE KID!

As far as I know the film is based on the old Karate Kid movies with the lovable wax on wax off Mr Miyagi. But I'm not sure how close to the storyline the film lies. As far as I can tell Jackie will play a role much like Mr Miyagi whilst Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith will play a role like Daniel-san!

The film despite it's name is actually about Kungfu. "Everything is Kungfu!" is a line stressed by Jackie in the trailer and as a Kung Fu'er I'm pretty chuffed. Excited? I am! Here's the trailer! WOOO JACKIE CHAN!!!

!CLICK ON THE IMAGE TO PLAY THE TRAILER!

Also as a Kung Fu'er myself I've managed to bump up a little list of great Kung Fu films that are pretty sweet! I've left out the old "You dishonour my family!" vintage ones as I know it takes a pretty hardcore fan to enjoy those, but if you would like just email me at example1988@live.co.uk (yes thats the right email not an example) for a few cool suggestions!

Heres the list of movies which have Kung Fu bursting from the seams! There also my personal favorites, just click on the image for each movies trailer!!!

Ip man

Flash Point

Jet li's - Fearless

House of Flying Daggers

The Warlords

War

New police story

The Myth

The Forbidden Kingdom

Rob B hood

...lol...

ok ok ok that's enough for now! If you want anymore then it's example1988@live.co.uk!!! Dont forget to check out a few Bruce Lee movies! They might be older than the above but the awesomeness lives on!

The base of a new life, the rest is up to you ^^

Here it is... the list.

Step One

You are not where you want to be, or you wouldn’t be reading this. Admit this, and you can start.

Step Two

Open your eyes and realise just how big the world is. Earth has 510,066,000 sq km
of surface span and on it there are around 196 different countries. Almost all of
these countries have their own customs, beliefs, philosophies, languages, food
and jobs. All of these countries have unique land, scenery, views, architecture,
music, arts and traditions stretching the face of the Earth. Each individual 196
countries add to the number of individual human beings which currently stands
around 6,830,586,985 and rising.

You can make your way in this world and experience everything within it.
The people, the philosophies, the land and my favourite...the food. Once
you realise that there IS space for you in this world and that a part of
it does in fact belong to you...then you’ll also realise your right to take
hold of it. Seize it and live it. Don’t waste your life having no purpose,
leave behind the views of others that stunt you. Will you say to those at
your deathbed, that you refused to make something of your life...because a
singular individual out of that 6 billion told you that you couldn’t?

Don’t be silly.

Step Three

Get yourself together what do you have in stock? Take inventory, what do you
already have? Now that you’ve decided to make your way in the world you need
to check your supplies. Find out what you already have, and then find out what
you need. Use the weapons in your inventory to go forth and gain the new ones,
aiding you in your next mini mission in the grand scheme of your life.
Need money? Make a C.V to get a job. Need a C.V? Write one. Need to write
something in your C.V? Get some work experience! (If you need any advice or
tips on things I don’t mention here don’t forget you can email me on
mjrc-2010@live.co.uk)

Step three covers the way you will run your
life from now on. Work out what you want, work
out the steps to get it.

Step Four

Procrastination is your enemy. Hmm ...I think an entire blog post just
for this aspect may be needed in the future...it’s a toughie. A great
way to beat it...get up... just do it. The only way to beat it is to
literally stand up. The minute you do, you’re winning and every step
after that is a step towards completion.

Step Five

Keep it up, I can’t tell you what exactly because we’re all
different.
But find something to hold onto and keep you motivated. For me
its music,I plug in music that motivates me and away I go.Find
something and use it,check the inventory.

“Do not be afraid of moving slowly, be afraid of standing still.”
It’s ok to go at a steady pace, it will not all fall into place
immediately. Have patience, butkeep moving. Do everything
within your power and the rest will continue to follow.

We're all just trying to get somewhere

So, today I found a car I liked. Here it is

This car ladies and gentlemen, is hot.

There's a lot of things you can do with a car like that, but first and foremost I would drive it. I would kill to get behind the steering wheel get it in gear and leave burning tracks and pump the black keys through the speakers (The Black Keys are a band if you dont know them youtube them or fail at life).

So where am I going to drive it too? Where can I get freedom, a good burger and loud music?

Now I know for a fact that I am not the only one thinking along these lines. Therefore, I have decided to devise a list...this is no ordinary list dude's and dudettes this is THE list. This is THE list to get us all a slice of that freedom...

But first it's gotta be tested!!!! Ladies and Men! I'm gunna volunteer, over the next couple of days I'm going to try EVERY way I can think of to get myself moving up in the world and when I'm done, if i live... =/ im going to slap it in the list and post it up! The first one will be in a few days! WISH ME LUCK!

My Refusal

The odds are not what matters, but instead what lies within me. If I am to die, then I am to die. But before my time is done you will know a mighty man has passed you by. I will hold my head high through the sea of your injustice. I will stand against your wrong. Though your armies may be strong and my action brief, as long as there is breath within me I refuse your reighn. I fight you.

Climbing to new heights

On the third of January, in the brand new year marking our first decade into the millennium the world’s tallest skyscraper is unveiled. The Burj Dubai, unveiled by Sheikh Mohammed was lit up better than new years in London as hundreds of onlookers we’re given an incredible display of fireworks, water works and laser lights. You can see a fantastic video here 

For many of us, it feels like 2009 needed to finish and 2010 needed to begin. For those that haven’t already I think 2010 is your chance to take in some fresh air and climb to new heights. Society and the people of Earth itself are both beginning to move forwards taking steps into new ground.

Here is an incredible example of mans steps forward in the grand scheme of humanity, the upcoming WORLD SKY RACE by the WORLD AIR LEAGUE in 2011! Composed of sixteen back to back races that span Earth itself in what’s described as a Historic tour, competition and race!

“The World Sky Race™ will be the largest man-made event seen by
live spectators in the history of the human race.” – The World Air League

Competitors from around the world will race SKYSHIPS from the Greenwich Prime Meridian southward to Africa and the Middle East, across the Indian Ocean to Equatorial Asia and through the Orient!!! Then they’ll “island hop” across the Pacific to the western shores of North America, down to Central America, up to the North Atlantic and crossing back to Prime Meridian for a historic finish!!!

Upon which the winner will be crowned WORLD SKY CHAMPION after completing full global circumnavigation! Here’s the link!

My point here is that our world is shifting, changing and growing. Man’s intelligence and vision is an ever growing aspect of humanity and it’s time to stop being a spectator and start living! Jump on too some of the most incredible chances ever to come in our time. It’s time to bring dreams to life. The Chinese have a proverb “The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time, is today”.

Get too work now and enjoy the fruits of your labour sooner than if you start tomorrow. Get some inspiration from the links above, notice how the world is growing pick a dream and make a start! See you on the other side! Here's to the future! Our future!
